How can this Help?

Being creative can help to learn more about yourself.

Collaborating can initiate a conversation

Being creative is fun.

Expressing unspeakable thoughts

By displaying this print and sharing your own experiences, you can raise awareness about struggling children around you and inspire others to explore their own creativity.

Ideas?

Print her, bring her to Photoshop, Paint her, Embroider, cut, paste, scribble, hide or reveal, write about her (or on her print), make a poem, scratch her or anything you feel you want to do. ‘Errors and mistakes’ don’t exist in making art. Listen to your feelings, emotions or ideas.

Free Download or Poster Print

You can download a FREE digital file here and print her yourself or if you don’t have the facilities to print, you can also buy a print on matte poster paper (50x70 cm) here.

And than what?

Look at her and add your own creative layer(s) on top

Put the print on the table, have a good talk and be creative together.

Make more prints and give them to others and ask them to do the same..

Share

  • Share the image with or without your layers! Or..

  • Print it for yourself and put her in a nice frame.

  • On your socials with #kaatje or #corinabouweriks or @corina_bouweriks

  • Use them in your artclass

  • Hang them on a bulletin board at school, in the supermarket, or in your bathroom!

  • Give them to a friend with your personal message

  • Use it in your (art)journal

  • Write your memoirs and share your personal story about Kaatje in a book or blog.

  • Make it a starting point of a conversation about your feelings with someone you trust

And so on. There are a million ways I can think of and I am so curious about what you come up with and I would love to see your work.

(Please note that when you share them online, you give me permission to share your work or idea in my stories on Instagram or on my website).

Do whatever you desire, as long as it doesn't harm others, especially because it is a project about children. Spread awareness and kindness.

And of course it shouldn’t be necessary to mention this, but here we go. Please do NOT sell or trade this image. Just GIVE it to someone who might need it!

Do not forget to tell people what ‘Kaatje’ is about, to be aware of ‘other Kaatjes’ and the power of creating art plus the help it can be in a process of healing.
